Just do it.
I think we need to ask ourselves; What are we doing to be the church? We can't just come to a church building every sunday morning and leave an hour and a half later unchanged, unmoved. Not only do we attend church, but we ARE the church. The church is a group of people who are on fire and dedicated to doing Gods work. We need to be his hands and help the poor. We need to be his feet and go tell people the good news. We need to be his ears and listen to those who no one listens to. We need to be his eyes and look for opportunity to reach out to the community around us. We need to have a heart like the Fathers. Lord, Break our hearts for what breaks yours. We have such a huge responsibility as believers to impact our world! Its up to us! We can't just sit here and idle while the world is dying. Christ gave us life. He gives us freedom! We can't keep this a secret, its too awesome. Let's channel our faith into works. James 2:14 says, "What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him? If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food, and one of you says to them, "Go in peace, be warmed and filled," without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is that? So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead." This is so harsh, but so true!! Don't be dead to the kingdom. I can't stress this enough people! This is what we are here on earth to do. So... Let's do it...

Would you mind if I used this when I talk to my youth group this weekend? :) I think it's very inspirational and motivational and exactly what people need to hear. It fits in with what I've been thinking about saying, too.
ReplyDeleteof course =)
